Modernizing the Albanian livestock industry - An interview with UNDP`s Ulrich Schmidt  » 27-07-2010The UNDP livestock project is contributing at the national level to support the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Consumer Protection to modernise and harmonise national databases and the information system within the livestock sector. Climate change campaign wins public award in Cannes  » 20-07-2010‘STOP CONSTRUCTING AT THE EXPENSE OF NATURE’ – this was the title of the winning card at the Lions Advertising Festival 2010 in Cannes, France. Picturing a turtle with buildings under constructions on its back, this free card from the Maniacard Company was designed as part of an awareness raising campaign for UNDP Albania`s Climate Change Programme, winning the public award “Cannes Act Tribute 2010” in the category of Free Cards. Historic city of Gjirokastra benefits from tourist information and artisan centre  » 16-07-2010The Mayor of Gjirokastra, the Ambassador of Spain and the Resident Coordinator of the United Nations in Albania and local partners participated today in the inauguration of the city`s new tourism information centre located in the heart of the historic city and World Heritage Site. The Gjirokastra Tourism Information Office will serve the needs of the growing number of foreign and domestic visitors to the city known as "the stone city". Read more
